About Our Rugelach

What is Rugelach?

Rugelach is a bite size pastry, which is Yiddish stands for "little twists" that has a Jewish-Russian origin.

Rugelach has no yeast and is made with a cream cheese and butter dough that is rolled around a filling (such as chocolate, jam or nuts) and baked.

The original Rugelach was filled with raisin, nuts and cinnamon sugar, but over the years we have expanded the product to include additional flavors.

What makes our Rugelach different from any other Rugelach?

- We make everything from scratch from our generations-old family recipe.

- We make our own chocolate and our own fillings.

- we use only the highest quality of ingredients.

- Everything is done by hand and with lots of love.

What ingredients are in Rugelach?

Our Rugelach is created from the finest and highest quality of all natural ingredients with no preservatives and no GMO. We use unbleached flour, cream cheese, unsalted butter, fruit preserves, cinnamon, salt, and our own chocolate.

All Gluten-Free ingredients are the same as our regular product EXCEPT we use organic all purpose flour which is gluten-free which contain no wheat. The gluten-free Raspberry and Apricot have walnuts.

All our Suvar Free ingredients are the same as our regular product except we use Birch xyolitol to replace sugar along we sugar-free fruit preserves including fresh fruit. Our flour is organic all purpose gluten free and contains no wheat.

Our Vegan ingredients replace the butter with earth balance buttery spread and the cream cheese is replaced with Tofutti which contains soy. We use all organic all purpose gluten free flour which contains no wheat. Our vegan does contain walnuts and fresh raspberries.

How long does Rugelach last?

Our Rugelach will stay fresh for 7 days in an unheated area. You may put them in the refrigerator for extend the life two weeks and in the freezer for six months.

What kinds of Rugelach do we make?

We make 4 types of Rugelach:

1. REGULAR in five flavors: Cinnamon nut raisin, Raspberry, Apricot, Chocolate and Chocolate Raspberry

2. VEGAN: Raspberry

3. GLUTEN FREE: Raspberry, Apricot, or Chocolate

4. SUGAR FREE: Raspberry or Apricot

What about allergies to Rugelach?

The most common allergies are nuts. The following are the only varieties that contain nuts.
